Welcoming Avalon Plan-holders to the Golden Leaves Group
Following the recent acquisition of Avalon Funeral Plans by Golden Leaves, we are pleased to welcome Avalon’s planholders into the Golden Leaves Group.
This important milestone brings together two long-established, regulated funeral plan providers with a shared commitment to security, trust and high standards of service.
Together, the organisations now support more than 150,000 planholders, with over £325 million held in trust, creating one of the UK’s largest funeral planning groups.
For Avalon planholders, there is no change to your funeral plan or the services and arrangements in place.
By joining the Golden Leaves Group, Avalon becomes part of a stronger, larger organisation with the resources to invest further in customer support, innovation and the long-term care of planholders.
Golden Leaves strengthens governance with expanded trustee board
Golden Leaves has expanded its trustee board to include the trustees who act for the Avalon trusts, bringing together an experienced and closely aligned group of professionals to oversee the Trust on behalf of all planholders.
The expanded board draws on the trustees’ combined years of experience in trust administration, investment oversight, and fiduciary governance across both the Golden Leaves and Avalon trusts, together with the Bristol Funeral Directors trust.
This depth of knowledge will strengthen the ability of the trustee board to safeguard planholder funds, oversee investment performance, and ensure that decisions are taken with the highest standards of care and independence.
Golden Leaves is committed to maintaining robust, well governed arrangements for the funds held on behalf of all planholders. The addition of the Avalon trustees reflects that commitment, ensuring continuity of expertise and a broader base of experience as the Trusts continue to grow.
